I'm warning you: we're growing up

It has been a year since I packed up my life and moved North. It has been one year since I committed to a life - at least for a while. A year since I have been surrounded by the familiar and comfortable. A year since friends were within driving distance and visits to family were hardly "run of the mill."
Life changes quickly. The adventures we're on now where mere glimmers of possibility a year ago. People who I now work and play with daily were not even on my radar. One never knows who's going to pop up next. It's exciting and frustrating. I want to put down roots, but I want to feel like I'm at home first. I want friendships, but I'm reluctant to put in the time when I don't know what next year will bring.
I'm slowly learning to actually take it a day at a time. And to be okay with "only for now."
